Press Release Potential offer for UniCredit Mediocredito Centrale S.p.A. With reference to press news UniCredit confirms that it has received a non binding expression of interest from Poste Italiane S.p.A. and ICCREA Holding S.p.A. for the potential acquisition of UniCredit MedioCredito Centrale S.p.A. (“MCC"), which could become the vehicle for the creation of Banca del Mezzogiorno, as part of the project promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. In relation to this initiative, Poste Italiane S.p.A. and ICCREA Holding S.p.A. have started a due diligence of MCC. MCC is the bank of the UniCredit Group specialized in providing financing and services for the public sector and in the management of public incentives to private companies."
