Zarząd Banku Polska Kasa Opieki S.A. ("Bank") informuje, że w dniu 25 września 2006 r. otrzymał informację, iż w dniu 19 września 2006 r. agencja ratingowa Standard & Poor's podjęła decyzję o utrzymaniu ocen ratingowych Banku na dotychczasowym poziomie: - Ocena długookresowa: "A-"; - Perspektywa ocen: "Stabilna"; - Ocena krótkookresowa: "A-2". Skala ocen stosowanych przez Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services Ocena długookresowa - Ocena ryzyka możliwości spłacenia przez Bank długookresowych zobowiązań. Dla poziomu inwestycyjnego skala ocen: AAA, AA, A, BBB, dla poziomu spekulacyjnego skala ocen: BB, B, CCC, CC, C, DDD, DD, D (ocena najwyższa "AAA", ocena najniższa "D"). Ocena perspektywy ratingu od pozytywnej poprzez stabilną do negatywnej. Ocena pozytywna świadczy o możliwości podwyższenia ratingu w przyszłości, ocena stabilna - o utrzymaniu bez zmian, a ocena negatywna - o możliwości obniżenia ocen. Ocena krótkookresowa - Krótkookresowa ocena możliwości spłacenia przez Bank krótkookresowych zobowiązań w skali ocen A-1, A-2, A-3, B, C (ocena najwyższa "A-1", ocena najniższa "C"). UNOFFICIAL TRANSLATIONReport 97/2006: Decision to affirm Ratings of Standard & Poor's for Bank Pekao S.A.Management Board of Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A. (“Bank”) informs that on 25th September, 2006 it has received information that on 19th September, 2006 Standard & Poor's Ratings Services made the decision to keep the ratings of the Bank unchanged on the following level:- Long-term: “A-“; - Outlook: “Stable“;- Short-term: “A-2”. The gradation scale of ratings applied by Standard & Poor’s Ratings ServicesLong-term ratings - Rating of capability to pay long-term liabilities of the Bank. The gradation scale for investment level: AAA, AA, A, BBB, and for speculative level: BB, B, CCC, CC, C, DDD, DD, D. (“AAA” is the highest rating, “D” is the lowest rating). Gradation scale of Outlook from Positive via Stable to Negative. Positive outlook means that there is possibility to upgrade the ratings in the future, Stable outlook means that the ratings will remain unchanged, and Negative outlook - that there is a possibility to downgrade the ratings. Short-term ratings - Rating of capability to pay short-term liabilities of the Bank. The gradation scale: A-1, A-2, A-3, B, C.
